Tonya Bordeaux
Tonya earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. She spent more than a decade as a military spouse and mother, navigating the challenges and privileges of being a Navy family. During this time of military service, Tonya and her family lived in Manama, Bahrain where Tonya served as the Special Events Coordinator to U.S. Ambassador Thomas Krajeski.
In 2018, Tonya pursued a long-held passion for law and earned a master’s-level Paralegal Certificate from the University of San Diego before entering law school in 2020. While at California Western School of Law (CWSL), Tonya earned a “Distinguished Advocate” award, made the Dean's Honor Roll, and was chosen as a writer/editor for the CWSL International Law Journal. Tonya also provided pro bono legal services to the community through the CWSL Community Law Project. In 2022, Tonya completed a program in International Arbitration and Mediation at the Queen Mary University of London School of Law.
Tonya graduated from CWSL in August, 2023. After graduation, she worked as a Law Clerk and Associate Attorney for firms in San Diego and for Attorney Jason Hight. During this time, she realized she could help clients save time, money, and stress by proactively approaching asset division issues using prenuptial agreements and estate planning tools.
Beyond the practice of law, Tonya enjoys being a wife and mother to three teenage sons and two stepsons, and loves spending time with all her "boys." She plays acoustic guitar and savors sharing her passion for faith, fitness, and football. Go Chargers!
